Apart from keen focus on academics various creative activities and skills are being taught at SGPS which enable the all round development of our students. Students are given ample opportunities to enhance their hidden talents. To develop the budding talents of our students we give importance to the co curricular activities Training in dance, music,karatte,yoga, drawings are included as a part of learning.

Co curricular activities have become part and parcel of academic life . Some of the co- scholastic areas which are included in the school syllabus are as follows: self awareness, problem solving, decision making, creative thinking, work education,sports activities, emotional skills, spiritual enlightenment, attitudes, moral values so on..

In an endeavour towards grooming of students to imbibe qualities of confidence, collaboration and healthy competitiveness, the entire school community is divided into four houses.It begins from LKG and is carefully monitored at every stage.The four houses are : Ganga, Kaveri,Yamuna and Periyar.

Each house has House in charges to guide the students and foster a spirit of leadership, cooperation, mutual understanding, tolerance and self reliance.Various inter house activities are conducted throughout the session.

The co scholastic activities are carefully planned and executed by the In charges. The everrolling trophy is awarded to the winners at the end of the academic session , based on the cumulative score of each competitions conducted at school. A Crowning achievement was, our school has bagged second place, district level in Nallapadam,Malayalam Manorama.project.
